Welcome to Bishop Mary’s page!  Here you will find articles, statements and policies made by The Rt. Rev. Mary Gray-Reeves, Bishop of The Diocese of El Camino Real, as well as links to biographical information.

What does a bishop do? The Bishop, also known as the "Ordinary," is the head of the Diocese, both legally as the Ecclesiastical Authority and Chairperson of the Corporation, and Spiritually as the Chief Pastor.

The bishop visits all congregations in the diocese on a rotating cycle, ordains new clergy, confirms, receives and baptizes, gathers with fellow bishops in The Episcopal Church U.S. regularly, represents the diocese at General Conventions, and gathers with fellow bishops in the Worldwide Anglican Communion at events such as the Lambeth Conference, held every 10 years. Our bishop does so much more than this!
