of Order for the Electing Convention
Hotel Information
Overview of Electing Convention
1. The convention will be held in the gymnasium at York
School.
2. Only properly badged, voting members of Convention will
be authorized to be on the floor when in session. Alternates
will be seated in a separate room with an audio feed from
the convention floor.
3. The only business will be the election of the bishop.
4. The convention will be held in the context of prayer.
5. Assisting Bishop Romero will preside.
6. There will be no nominations from the floor.
7. Voting will be conducted by paper ballots.
8. To be elected a candidate must receive a simple majority
in both lay & clergy orders.
9. There is no provision for a runoff, voting continues
until there is an election.
10. The Convention will recess while the ballots are being
tallied.
11. Following the report of the ballot results, there will
10 minutes for reflection and caucusing inside the hall
before the next ballot is taken.
12. Following the ballot resulting in an election of the
bishop, a testimonial must be signed by members of
convention.
