General Convention 2006

Introducing Your Deputies:  Dottie Fuller

June 17, 2006

Ms. Dottie Fuller, a four-time Deputy to General Convention, is the Chair of the El Camino Real Deputation. She is a member of Good Shepherd, Salinas, where she sings in the choir and serves on the Altar Guild. She is also a delegate to Diocesan Convention and a long-time member of the diocesan Commission on Ministry.

At General Convention, she is a member of the Executive Council of the Episcopal Church, which meets regularly between Conventions to monitor the ongoing work of the church. She also serves on the Ministry Committee, which is now working on revision of the ordination canons (Title III Canons 5-12). About the Committee’s work, she says (especially to members of El Camino Real’s Commission on Ministry): “Take heart – changes are not as extensive as at General Convention 2003!”

Dottie also says, “The variety of opinions expressed here truly represents all of El Camino Real’s voices. We have much to do here but I have a strong feeling that collectively we have the right gifts to do the work.”
