General Convention 2006

Introducing Your Deputies:  Dr. Gordon Gritter

The Rev. Vincent Raj, a first-time Alternate Deputy to General Convention, is rector of St. George’s, Salinas, Dean of the Salinas Valley Deanery, and a member of Diocesan Council.

Vincent comments that he has found his General Convention experience to be “inspiring, faith-uplifting, joyful and contagious.” He also says, “I have learned that quite a few dioceses within our church have well established Committees on Missions. They also have companion relationships with missionary dioceses. We have none. Perhaps El Camino Real could consider establishing such a Committee on Missions, and promote awareness of our Church’s missionary efforts. I would be happy to serve on such a committee.”
