The Diocese of El Camino Real is composed of five counties: Santa Clara, San Benito, Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Luis Obispo.  The area includes over 9,751 square miles and a total population of 2,661,259.  Four of these counties are considered agricultural, while Santa Clara County is primarily technical and industrial.
