At its May 2007 meeting, the Diocesan Council established a new commission to focus on small congregations in the diocese. The purpose of the Commission on Small Congregations (CSC) is:

... to establish a diocesan level commission to focus on small congregations, particularly parishes with small membership

... to develop a diocesan strategy for small congregations, including resources for program, growth, and financial support

... to define or redefine a diocesan model for success for small congregations
... to create opportunities to network and learn from each other

2008 Grant Application Form
In keeping with the theme, A Year of Wonder, the Diocese of El Camino Real is pleased to offer a grant application intended to support the dreams and hopes of our smaller congregations. This $13,000 fund for 2008 provides an opportunity to imagine what might be possible if seed money is available and granted. $5,000 is set aside from an endowment for education and $8,000 is available for other projects that meet the funding requirements outlined in the application (attached).
