Santa Maria Urban Ministry is the living presence of Jesus Christ, offering to all a safe place of welcome, service and positive transformation.

SMUM is heavily dependent on volunteer labor for its operations.   While a large portion of funding comes from grants, grantors want to see evidence of community support, so financial support from the diocese and from individual donors is essential for keeping the doors open.
