On Saturday, March 31 the Search Committee will
meet with the Standing Committee and share their
list of nominees for the Third Bishop of the
Diocese of El Camino Real.
On Monday, April 2 that list will be sent to the
diocese, the public, and placed on our website.
Nominees may still be placed into nomination via
petition. Information on that process has
previously been mailed to the diocese and can be
found on the website.
The election for the third bishop will be held
on June 16 at York School. Full details on that
meeting will be forthcoming in April. In
preparation for this long-anticipated day the
following two conferences will be held:
- The Diocesan Clergy Conference on April
23-25 and
- A Lay Conference on May 19, led by Rob
Voyle.
Details for both these events will be mailed
shortly. Please mark your calendars now!
This is an exciting time for our diocese as we
move towards the discernment of who our new
bishop will be. We have waited patiently, worked
hard in preparing ourselves to be ready, and now
can gather as clergy and lay to discuss the
transition and change that will occur when our
new bishop arrives.
