ECR >> Website Transition

As some of you may know, we encountered problems with our old website name "www.ecrweb.org" that we are unable to resolve. This new website is under development.

April 21, 2006:
Although it looks like a lot has been done, most links in this site point to the old website. Most index pages have been moved, and all new material is being posted to the new website. As content gets transitioned over, links will be changed to point to this website. Most of this transition effort will take place during Summer 2006.

If a link on the new site is pointing to the old site, and you are one of those who cannot access the old site, we recommend that you contact your Diocesan Communication Liaison (DCL) or other person who can access the site.

Most things that you need to see are also communicated via our email network.

How to Update Your Bookmarks

Internet Explorer

Go to Favorites and locate the desired item (the link to the old website). Instead of clicking on it, "right-click" it (your second mouse button) and choose Properties.
Or, from the top menu, choose Favorites - Organize Favorites. Locate the desired item, then "right-click" it and choose Properties.
Enter the new URL, and get rid of anything after the ".org" in the URL box, so that it just reads http://www.edecr.org. Then select OK.
You might want to try out the corrected link and make sure it takes you to the newer home page.
If the ECR website is set as your "Home" page, go to Tools - Internet Options. On the 'General' tab, make the correction in the Address box. Choose okay. Then hit your 'Home' button to make sure you get the correct page.

Netscape Navigator or Mozilla Firefox

Go to Bookmarks - Manage Bookmarks and locate the desired item. "Right-click" it and choose Properties, or go to Edit - Properties.
Enter the new URL, and get rid of anything after the ".org" in the URL box, so that it just reads http://www.edecr.org. Then select OK. (Close the Manage Bookmarks window if necessary).
You might want to try out the corrected link and make sure it takes you to the newer home page.
If the ECR website is set as your "Home" page, go to Edit - Preferences. Select 'Navigator' on the left. Make the correction in the Location box. Choose okay. Then hit your 'Home' button to make sure you get the correct page.
